Project Description:
Turtle Creek Association is a nonprofit organization that began 25 years ago to preserve, protect and enhance the natural beauty in the Turtle Creek Corridor. They manage and support beautification, preservation, recreational amenities, and public infrastructure improvements (such as improvements to jogging paths, bridges, etc.) The Turtle Creek area runs from north of downtown Dallas to Highland Park. Fall Creek Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, October 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will be divided into teams and assigned different areas of the creek and compete in various categories (most recyclable collections, strangest thing pulled out of the creek, etc.). Creek clean-ups and beautification projects occur at other times thoughout the year as well.
